UKHOZI FM radio DJ and Durban Gen actress Zimiphi “Zimdollar” Biyela says her acting career will not be interrupted by her getting the Monday to Friday midday show on Ukhozi FM.
Zimdollar from Empangeni in KZN plays matron Nobuhle Nkabinde on the e.tv soapie and her character recently disappeared.
This led people to think that she would pause acting to focus on her weekday radio shows.
Zimdollar, who will present the show alongside Sfiso “King Sfiso” Sibiya from 1 April, told SunBuzz she will continue to do both radio and acting.
“In fact, I am back on set and shooting new episodes on Durban Gen after my short break.
“I’m happy with Ukhozi FM changes that gave me more time for the first time, and I want to emphasise that these changes will not interrupt me with shooting Durban Gen.”

She said she will plan her time accordingly to do her shows and shoot episodes without conflict.
“My fans must rest.
I will be continuing to appear on Durban Gen showcasing my acting talent.
“I have received calls from people asking why I disappeared on Durban Gen. It was just a short break,” she said.
Zimdollar is presenting a maskandi show called Sigiya Ngengoma which airs on Saturdays on Ukhozi FM.
It was the first time Ukhozi FM had a female presenter for a maskandi show.
As she moves to the midday show next month, she will be replaced by Bheka Mchunu.
Since Zimdollar joined Ukhozi FM, she has usually done night shows and Saturday shows which gave her more time for acting.
She joined the station in 2011 after being a runner-up at the Vodacom M-Pesa Top Stars competition, which Thembeka Zondo won.
