WOMEN in business came together under one roof this week.
They were part of Women in Business Indaba held at the Nkandla Multipurpose Hall in Nkandla, northern KZN on Wednesday, 30 August.
The women ecouraged one another to buckle up, because the time for laziness needs to come to an end.
Nokukhanya Ngubo, a 28-year-old farm owner, said women must stop being afraid of claiming their space even in industries dominated by men.
"I wouldn't be here today if it was not for courage. I first understood my passion and then did everything to make sure that my dream became a reality," said Nokukhanya.
She said today she owns an 800-hectare farm and is living her dream.
"If I had invested in this thing that farming is for the old and white people, I wouldn't have started my legacy. So, you can do anything if you put your mind to it," she said.

Thandi Ngxongo, who owns a petrol station, said women should first understand what they love and are passionate about.
"Right now, I know you think we are talking just because we have all the money in the world but the reality is that we also come from a deep rural area. It wasn't east for us but we pushed hard because we knew what we wanted. Now it proves that anyone can achieve what they want in life if they dream big," said Thandi.
Media personality and Ukhozi FM presenter, Zanele Mbokazi, urged women to stop using social media to write about their problems or mock other women but to use social media to educate themselves and promote businesses.
"If you own a smartphone, you can become one of the biggest and richest businesswomen because social media can take your business to the world," said Zanele.
One of the women who was at the indaba, Sithembile Xulu (28), said she learnt a lot at the event.
The indaba was also attended by King Cetshwayo Mayor Thami Ntuli, uMfolozi Mayor Xolani Bhengu, Umlalazi Mayor Queen Xulu, uMthonjaneni Mayor Mbangeni Biyela, as well as officials from Nkandla Municipality.
