When accepting the award, Wouter said they are happy to the taking South African music to the world.

“Thank you so much, this is such a beautiful moment. On the road to sharing South African music and culture with the world. Thank you Nomcebo, thank you Zakes for your creativity,” said Wouter.

Zakes dedicated the win to Africans.

“I just want to say we’re coming from South Africa and this moment right here is for anybody that’s in Africa and it proves and affirms that every dream is valid,” he said.

Nomcebo said: “Thank you so much to God. I once gave the world a song that took the world by strorm, but I didn’t get this nomination or awards. But God was saying to me ‘don’t worry my daughter, I will give you Bayethe.”
