The fight between Bongekile 'Babes Wodumo' Simelane and her mother-in-law, ZamaNguni has come to an end.
It happened at Mampintsha's funeral, on Friday, 30 December.
Speaking at the podium, Babes Wodumo said: "I thank you Tira for loving my husband, I thank my father. You raised me well. I forgive you and whatever was making us fight to stop. Tira please don't forsake me. In his last days, he said he loved me. All men cheat."
She went on to say: "MaGumede, today I want to take this opportunity and forgive you for everything. Whatever was making us fight must come to end. Can we please put it behind."
She then went off stage, hugged and kissed Mampintsha's mother.
Mampintsha's mother also had a moment with her grandchild, Nhlalonhle 'Sponge' Maphumulo.
The funeral service was held at the Durban ICC.
Government officials such as the Premier of KZN, Nomusa Dube Ncube, Leader of Inkatha Freedom Party, Hlabisa, Provincial Chairperson of the African National Congress in KwaZulu-Natal, Siboniso Duma, MEC for Sports Arts and Culture, Amanda Bani Mapena were also present.
The three families, The Gumedes from his mother's side, The Maphumulo's from his father's side and his inlaws, the Simelane's gathered at the ICC for his funeral service.
Hundreds of his industry friends including Media personality, Nonkanyiso Conco, DJ Tira, DJ Sox, and Amaqwabe Twins also came to pay their last respect to Mampintsha.
Mthokozi 'Dj Tira' Khathi one of the few speakers said is one of: "His voice carried us. With him and other artists changed Durban."
He also thanked the KZN Government for the assistance. "Our Provincial government didn't forsake us, so I thank you for this. We have a lot to do because life goes on. He played his role. He had a good heart. He was not a good timekeeper. He was very creative, and he had his own way of coming up with names. We've lost a friend. When we created the R Mashesha album he knew people would love it. His music is a blessing. That's why we are saying the song Ngeke must become a crossover song. This is our way of honouring him. Let us not disappoint him and let's make him proud,"
"Babes you're talented and don't mind the social media. Forget about social media and pray to God to help you in your journey," he said.
"Thank you MaGumede for giving us a son who entertained us," he added.
Ncube Dube also recognised the Gumede family. Speaking at the podium she said: "He was taken from us at a very young age. He and other artists hold a very special place in our hearts. HE earned the respect of this industry, he is one of the founders of Big Nuz. It's impossible to consider him without mentioning the Big Nuz. They worked with different government departments."
He was one of the ambassadors for our province. He created jobs
Duma also called for peace between families.
