Mthunzi said he has always wanted to work with Kabza De Small.

MZANSI vocalist and lyricist, Njabulo Mthunzi Ndimande, popularly known as Mthunzi has recently released a song called Isibusiso.

On the song, the entertainer collaborated with renowned producer and DJ Kabelo Motha popularly known as Kabza De Small.

The 30-year-old Afro pop singer who hails from Hammarsdale in KZN said the song is about embracing and showing appreciation to a partner for their unconditional love.

“I had to call it isibusiso “blessing” which can only come from God,” he said.

He said his collaboration with Kabza De Small happened randomly, but it meant a lot to him.

“I had actually tagged along with a friend of mine Deep Sen and King Talkzin. They were called or had a session at Piano Hub and they suggested I go with them. Kabza De Small agreed to that because he had heard about me before but never got a chance to be in studio with me. When I heard the news, deep down I knew something might happen, but I didn’t want to name an unborn child. The very first day I recorded about 2-3 songs, Isibusiso was one of them,” he said.

Mthunzi said Kabza De Small has been one of the people he wanted to work with.

“I have been a fan of his work for a long time, and his personality allows anyone to be comfortable around him,” he said.

He said people will enjoy their music. Their project, collectively titled "Isimo," features a collection of songs that Mthunzi believes will resonate with a wide audience.

“We actually thought of naming the entire project after one of the titles from the tracks, but it just didn’t work out. If I remember well, he came with that title and I was like definitely yes,” he said.

While music remains his primary focus, Mthunzi is open to exploring other avenues in the future, such as acting, as he has received inquiries about his potential interest in the field.
