“The recognition motivates me to work harder. It always makes me happy to see that I’m even recognised outside my country.
“I do get a nomination, but what's surprising is that about 90% of my nominations are from outside the country, and I’m happy that I've won several awards outside the country,” she said.
Thabsile, who played Sweety in Rockville, said she also hoped that she'll get more recognition in Mzansi.
She scooped Best Newcomer at the Scream Awards in 2021, and also scooped Best Female Actress at Shining Star Africa in 2023.
Other Mzansi stars are also expected to shine and fly Mzansi's flag higher in Nigeria during the Africa Choice Awards to be held in March.
