TWO suspects who were arrested in Eswatini accused of killing Mzansi hip hop star AKA are expected to appear in court on Tuesday, 5 March.

Siyabonga Ndimande and Melusi Ndimande will appear at the Manzini Magistrates Court in Eswatini for extradition processes to commence.

Mzansi is expected to apply for the extradition of the two suspects to be brought back to Mzansi to join the other five accused in the murder of AKA and Tibz.

The two were arrested in Eswatini while hiding in Mbabane, confirmed by KZN police commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi Monday, 26 February.

It is reported that the two had been hiding in Eswatini since the murder of AKA in February 2023.

Their lawyer Sivesonke Ngwenya said at the moment he will not say much about what will happen in court.

“After all, we will postpone the matter to take instruction when they give us the full application,” he said.

At the moment, it is still not clear if they are going to face a criminal charge of entering and staying in Eswatini illegally.

Meanwhile, the five other suspects, Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi (30), Lindelani Ndimade (30), Siyanda Myeza (22), Mziwethemba Gwabeni (36), and Lindokuhle Ndimande (29) will have their second appearance at the Durban Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 6 March.

Their initial appearance was on 29 February, and they are expected to apply for bail on 6 March, as well as on 14, 18, and 19, and 27 March.

AKA whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane were gunned down at The Wish on Florida restaurant premises in Durban on 10 February 2023.
