THE organisers of Basadi in Music Awards have announced musician and media personality Unathi Nkayi as the host of this year’s Basadi in Music Awards.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place today, 12 August 2023 at 6pm at the Joburg Theatre.
It was initially announced that the event would be hosted by Khanyi Mbau who, due to unforeseen circumstances, would no longer be at the helm.

Basadi in Music Awards gala evening will be a celebration of excellence of women musicians in South Africa and the African continent in the middle of Women’s Month.
An exciting line-up of performances and star-studded appearances will be enjoyed by audiences at the Joburg Theatre while TV audiences will experience the show when the awards are broadcast on SABC2 on Sunday, 27 August 2023 at 8:30pm.
