NOMSA Buthelezi-Shezi recently poured her heart out in an emotional TikTok video.

The actress and TV presenter who is known for presenting Our Perfect Wedding and Moja Love’s Uyaphuza said she has been praying to have the strength and courage to talk about the betrayals she has faced.

The 41-year-old presenter said that she woke up with a heavy heart, remembering where she comes from.

“I’ve been that person who doesn’t like talking a lot, but I feel that there's a lot that has happened to me and I’ve never spoken about it. A lot that people didn’t understand what was happening with me,” she said.

Nomsa, who's also known as Gomora Diva, said this year people should talk about the things that hurt them in order to heal.

“The purpose of this video is to find somebody who might find themselves in the same situation as me. Maybe it can be in a different industry,” she said.

She said she came to the industry with only a dream.

“When you are fat in the industry you are humbled because you need to prove yourself because you don’t have a beautiful face, and the body is something else, but I had to prove to myself,” she said.

While not delving into specific incidents, Nomsa said that she buried the pain and injustices she had endured.

“There are some things I buried deep inside, and I won’t talk about them, but they hurt me a lot.

“I remember going into a certain show that people didn’t believe I would get in because obviously the last person that worked on it was beautiful with a beautiful body, she’s gorgeous but because of the drive I have, I made sure that the show worked and forget my roundness and see my talent and the show shoot up in numbers,” she said.

She said when other people were tired of seeing her good work and the applause, they went behind her back and lied about her.

“They spoke things about me. Nobody gave me a voice. They just chucked me out like I am nothing. What hurts is that these people hurt my reputation,” she said.

Nomsa said despite the challenges, she refused to seek revenge and expressed her belief that God is watching over her.

“God is working, and he doesn’t sleep. Many people in the industry did bad things to me but I don’t revenge. Some came to me to steal my knowledge and go,” she said.

She also said that other people hated her for her sexuality.

“Being a lesbian in South Africa is very tough. You lose jobs and gigs. It’s painful that the people that I entertain everyday turned against me because of my sexuality,” she said.
