TV presenter TT Mbha says enough is enough and calls for men to stop abusing women and children.
He has joined the #NoExcuse2023 campaign, which fights against gender-based violence.
TT (44) spoke to Daily Sun about the campaign.
“This is a campaign that’s driven by Black Label and it’s to fight against GBV. We want to say there’s no excuse for another human to abuse another human. Further, knowing that the perpetrators are mostly men, this is directed at men to stop making excuses when it comes to abuse.
“We’ve seen statistics of abuse. Did you know that every 63 seconds a woman in South Africa becomes a victim of abuse? So, this campaign is propelling men to stop the clock and stop what they are doing. The stats are unacceptable. Enough is enough!” he said.
TT said they're running an online course for men to determine how they treat people.
“This course encourages men to take part to see how they're treating other people. It’s a free course and takes about 20 minutes. We encourage men to take part in it, even if you’re not an abuser. It’s good for men to take it,” he said.

TT already works closely with men in his capacity and said that’s why he chose to be part of this campaign.
“I work closely with men because I know they go through a lot of things, but don’t talk. I focus on the mental wellness of men. Men don’t want to admit that they go through depression, so we encourage them to talk.
“I joined this campaign so I can work with some of these men and teach them about abuse. There are men who are abused, and they're afraid of sharing. They don’t like to talk, and I believe the more we talk and the more we unpack, we can eradicate abuse,” TT said.
TV presenter Dr Musa Mthombeni and Moroka Swallows coach Steve Komphela are also part of the campaign.
“We hope we’ll achieve behavioural change through this. Men need to change the way they behave, and the way they speak to their loved ones. It starts there. We need to change that. Fix our home, and the country will be fixed.
“Men should stop making excuses for each other. We need to start calling each other out. It’s time we stand up,” he said.
