HE is one of the most loved comedians in Tshwane and on social media.
Now his fans will get to see Atlegang Songo on their TV screens.
This is because he has bagged a role on Mzansi Magic's The River.
The 23-year-old from Soshanguve, who’s known as Papi Nicetingz, has been producing skits on social media for four years. He started making waves after he posted a hilarious three-way video call with his besties, Chomi and Palesa.
Atlegang told Daily Sun he has been shooting with The River, which he's excited about.
"The show is in its final season, and it's an honour to be featured on the show,” he said.
He said his role isn't that big, but it's notable.
“I don't want to expose the storyline as much. But people are going to fall in love with the character, if I say he's the male version of Beauty. They have a lot in common and I'd say they sound the same and have the same attitude.
"I'm only going to be on the show for a few episodes, but I swear people are going to fall in love and I can say I gave it my all,” he said.
Atlegang said he is still in disbelief.
“I don't know how to feel or react. But there was so much nerves and excitement the day I received the news from the producers that they'd like to have me on the show,” he said.
He said he auditioned for the character and after a few days later he received a call from the casting director that he got the role.

“This is my first successful audition, by the way. I'm very proud of myself for this more than anything. Being on the show has brought so much change in my career and in perfecting my craft as a storyteller. I also got to see where I lack as an actor, which I'd need to polish and improve,” he said.
Atlegang said social media has had an impact and significant change.
“So much has changed since I became a social media sensation. I got to share my talent with a lot of people and I'd say that my work has reached the right people.
"It's not always that you'd have a person like Khanyi Mbau complement your work and admire your talent,” he said.
