TS GALAXY star Thamsanqa Gabuza will appear in the Alexandra Magistrates Court on Thursday, 15 February.

Gabuza was nowhere to be found during his court appearance on Monday, 29 January. The soccer star was scheduled to make a court appearance for his case of malicious damage to property.

The complainant, Zikhona Zode, was there before the court. The court police officer called him several times in the morning, but he didn't show up. The court took a break, and he didn't show up after the court break.

The footballer made his last appearance on 19 December 2023. The defence lawyer, Themba Ngobeni, told Daily Sun that his client wasn't feeling well.

"He isn't feeling well, and that's the reason he didn't come. I'm not sure where he was today," Ngobeni said.

Magistrate Lindokuhle Lubisi issued a warning to him. She said he must be present on Thursday, 15 February 2024.

"A warrant of arrest issued for him will be issued if he is not in on this date. His bail conditions will forfeit as well," she said.

The magistrate said if he was not there by 8:30am in the morning in February, he would be arrested.

In November, prosecutor Tshiego Deka read out the bail conditions, which state that he must not go anywhere near the victim or have any contact with her.

She said he must attend all court dates. He must not commit another similar offence, or he will be sent back to prison.

During his appearance, Magistrate Peggy Senne, who is late, said he will be granted bail to the sum of R3 000 after his defence lawyer, Themba Ngobeni, said it is still the middle of the month, and he has not yet been paid.

Police investigated the player after a case was opened against him on 11 November for malicious damage to property.

When Daily Sun approached Zikhona Zode for comments before the court, she said she didn't want to say anything about this matter.

"No comments at all. I don't have anything to day mow, but thank you," she said.

The 31-year-old woman, who is an online teacher, previously spoke to about her ordeal.

She said she met the man in 2021, and they became friends before trying out a romantic relationship, which never worked out. The player, on the other hand, claimed that the woman was his wife.
