GRAMMY award-winning singer and dancer Tyla has been forced to cut her international tour short.
She revealed in a statement that her ailing health has taken a toll on her. The internationally acclaimed star's hit single, Water, released a statement on how, over the past year, she has suffered an injury which now sees her cancelling a world tour.
"My dear tygers… As much as this is something I would rather have dealt with privately its important that I share what I have to share with you today.
"For the past year, I've been silently suffering from an injury that has tragically worsened. I've seen doctors and specialists with high hopes, but the pain has only become more agonizing, as has the severity of the situation.

"I am absolutely heartbroken to have to say this, but as of right now, I won't be able to proceed with the tour. In consulting with my medical professionals, it's become increasingly clear that continuing any festival or tour dates would jeopardize my long-term health and safety," the statement read.
The 22-year-old 'Water' hitmaker announced early in 2024 that she would setting off on her first ever world tour touching base on areas like the United Kingdom, European and North America.
But sadly, this much anticipated world tour will no longer be happening leaving Tyla at a point of frustration.
"Words cannot describe my frustrations at this pivotal point in my career. So please know that my team and I are working diligently on a spectacular show for you as soon as I recover and ready to return safely on stage this summer," she continued in her post.
Tyla's career has been peaking at great heights, especially last year when she walked away with a Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance for her hit single, Water.
She was against some of Africa's biggest musicians, such as Ayra Starr, Olamide, Burna Boy, Asake, Davido, and fellow South African Musa Keys.
Not only did she make Mzansi proud but her speech left a lasting impression that carried the social media waves for a while.
With this injury setback, Tyla continued to show her gratitude to her fans, who have carried her throughout her career.
She was not shy to leave a teasing warning that when she returns to her healthy self she will be a 'problem'.
"Yall still gonna see me around Tygers so don't worry too much just know when I'm back to performing pain free I'm gonna be even more of a problem. It's hard having to turn down opportunities you've been waiting your whole life for but God has his plan," she said.
