CONGRATULATORY messages are pouring in for three local artists who have been nominated at the Grammy Awards.

Zakes Bantwini, Nomcebo Zikode and composer Wouter Kellerman have been nominated under the category of Best Global Performance for their song, Bayethe.

They are nominated along international artists such as Burna Boy for Last Last; Matt B and Eddy Kenzo for Gimme Love; Arooj Aftab and Anoushka Shankar for Udhero NA; as well as Rocky Dawuni featuring Blvk H3ro for Neva Bow Down.

Wouter is not new on the nominees list for these global awards. In 2015, he was nominated under Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album for his offering, Winds of Samsara.

Zakes took to Instagram to announce the good news, and also gave praise to God.

“I’ve just received my first Grammy nomination. God is the greatest. #grammy75,” he wrote.

This was followed by congratulatory comments from his fans and fellow artists.

Nomcebo also shared the good news.

“Just landed in Nice and found out that I’m a Grammy-nominated artist. @zakesbantwini @wouterkellernman we did it,” she wrote.
