KZN’s third biggest radio Vuma FM has replaced their listener’s favourite presenter, Thandolwethu Ngidi with another famous presenter, Vanessa Marawa.
While many radio stations do their line-up changes in March and April, Vuma FM is doing things differently.
The commercial radio station based in Durban has made changes for their new annual season to start on Saturday, 1 July.
They brought back their star Vanessa, who started with this station during its establishment in 2012 and recently left.
Vanessa will present the noon to 3pm lunchtime show alongside Mankini Mgege, replacing Thandolwethu, who has left the station.

Vuma FM recently made history when they arranged the wedding of a long-time couple, Nkosinathi Hadebe and Zandile Cele, which was called a provincial wedding.
Many show presenters remain unchanged on their shows, as Mzokoloko Gumede, Nombuso Mkhwanazi and Gabriel Sithole will stay on as breakfast show hosts.

Jacinta Ngobese will also remain as a presenter of a midmorning show, while the afternoon drive show will be hosted by current presenters Lekomotion Ngcobo, Slie Langa and Big Mike.
Vuma FM spokeswoman Lydia Mtshali told Daily Sun that many presenters remain unchanged on their shows because the station is still happy with their work, and she confirmed that Thandolwethu left the station.
“As part of keeping up with the growth and the ever-changing needs of our listeners and clients, we have adjusted our line-up to take effect from 1 July 2023.
“The overall line-up sees only minor adjustments with The Vuma Breakfast show remaining with the host Mzokoloko Gumede, who joined the station in 2020 alongside Nombuso Mkhwanazi, the 2022 presenter search winner and Gabriel Sithole,” she said.
Lydia said Jacinta Ngobese maintains her midmorning show, Cruise with Jacinta, while the prime timeline is bringing back a listener favourite, Vanesa, who will share the mic with Mankini Mgenge.
She said the weekend line-up stays the same with an addition to the weekend extravaganza show hosted by Linda Mothae from 10am to 2pm.
“A new segment called Vuma Sakhane will be shared with Khosi Magubane and will feature on Saturdays from 11am to noon.
“The station’s speciality shows see no change in presenters. Nhlanhla Makhanya still hosts the station’s business and finance show, It’s All About The Money, with Neo Potwana hosting the current affairs show, KZN in 60 Minutes,” she said.
Lydia said that Robert Marawa, who hosts the internationally acclaimed sports show called Marawa Sport Worldwide, could be streamed live from 5.30 to 7pm every weekday on Vumafm.co.za, Risefm.co.za.
