GOSPEL star Thinah Zungu (34) is done releasing albums.
The Kwanqaba Umusa hitmaker said he is now focusing on only releasing single tracks.
The KZN-born singer told SunBuzz: “From what I’ve observed, releasing albums is not profitable anymore.
“Our industry has changed drastically and Covid-19 made things worse. Some musicians’ sustainability is not certain.
“Things are bad. First it was piracy. Music shops shut their doors and CD businesses are collapsing. So I gave this a thorough thought and decided to change with the times and release single tracks instead of albums. I believe it’s a good move for me.”

Thinah last dropped an album in 2020 titled Buya Nkosi, which he said didn’t do well probably due to Covid-19.
On Friday, 11 March Thinah released a single track titled Uyalihloniph’izwi (He Respects The Word).
He said most of his songs are motivational.
“We are in a situation where people hide their scars with smiles and laughter. Some are making sure they look strong outside whereas they are dying inside.
“My music is healing, motivational and it tries by all means to bring joy and revive hope. I tell people that God can change nothing into something and turn the impossible into possibility. My God is a God of truth and He keeps His promises,” said Thinah.
