SINGER Zandie Khumalo-Gumede is ready to reconcile with her sister, Kelly Khumalo.

She recently shared a photo of herself with Kelly and asked God to give her strength.

“Thixo lapho ekhona uqhubeke umuphe amandla, uze usigcinele nomama ekhaya, uhlala ehlezi ekholwa ukuthi ngelinye ilanga isimo soshintsha,” she captioned the photo.

In February 2020, the two sisters had a nasty public fight.

It started when Kelly accused her sister’s husband Mhlo Gumede, who is also her manager, of being a scammer.

She had been booked by Bhekani Ndlovu of Gesh Lounge and entertainment in Empangeni, KZN.

But Kelly denied she was ever booked by Bhekani.

“With all due respect, Mhlo Gumede is my sister’s husband and manager, not my bookings manager nor part of my team, never was and never will be. So whatever dealings you may have with him, do not involve me,” Kelly had said at the time.

When Zandie saw this, she hit back and divorced her sister.

She wrote on Instagram: “It is with great sadness and it is with a very heavy heart that I announce my divorce. If I was divorcing my husband maybe it would have been a bit easier and lighter but I am separating from a person that I have known all my life and have shared laughs, pain, excitement and disappointments all my life with. I want to officially put it on record that the statement my sister, Kelly Khumalo, made about my husband was rather haphazard, premature and unnecessary to say the least.”

According to Zandie, the source of their fight was Kelly’s reality show.

“The fight is not even about a gig she was supposedly booked for but with me and my husband for refusing to be a part of her upcoming reality TV show without being compensated accordingly. Me and my husband, who is my manager, have worked very hard to remove me from her shadow so we are not prepared to take 10 steps backwards and be her lackey on a TV show just to please her,” she had said.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Kelly Khumalo said:"I’d appreciate if you’d stay out of my family’s business, I hope it’s the last time you will ever contact me. I hope I’ve made myself clear."
