ACTRESS Gugu Gumede is returning to the small screens.
The 30-year-old from KZN has been off screens for almost six months after giving birth.
The actress plays Mamlambo on SABC1 soapie Uzalo, a prophetess who helps people in her community with their problems and guide some of her friends.
Gugu told her fans on Instagram on Tuesday, 31 May that her maternity leave is over.
She wrote: “My maternity leave is officially over tomorrow. Excited to be back with my @Uzalo_sabc1 fam.”
The actress said she was also scared to leave her daughter behind while on set.
“Mommies, what made this transition easier to you? Please send some words of encouragement,” said Gugu.

Messages of support flooded in for Gugu.
TV star Laconco wrote: “Prayer helped me, still does and will always. Don’t overthink it. Remember she’s a precious gift from God.”
She also wished her well on her return to work.
“It’s never easy, but mommy has to do what she’s got to do,” Batusile Radebe said.
Khanyi Bongeka said: “Have it in your mind that whatever you’re doing, you’re doing it for the little princess love. It’s never easy.”
