THE Wounds actress Eve Rasimeni took a break from social media a few months ago after sharing about her struggle with depression.

She opened up about self-harming and how it affected her.

Now, Eve has come back with an update saying she’s glad she didn’t let depression win because she’s back up and working.

Taking to Instagram, she said she wanted to die eight months ago, but she’s glad she didn’t.

“The worst mistake depression has not mastered….you better kill me because there is no other person to fear than the one who is from the dark side. Eight months ago my biggest wish was to be hugged by heaven – 4 months of a world transformation and it’s been another 4 of my ancestors fighting back for me. So grateful for all the good I nearly left. Looking forward for all the incredible work one is busy with in all corners of work, self, socially etc,” she wrote.

When Eve opened up about her depression in June last year, she said she started self-harming 12 years ago.

“Twelve years ago I developed a secret hobby in dealing with my depression because I was tired of the hospital every time I got sick emotionally,” she wrote at the time.

“In 2014 I made a vow to stop and never CUT again, and I did. I was even this very year planning to do a tattoo on the scars as a promise that I was done. But in May I lost someone I so dearly loved and on my birthday said goodbye to him. One morning after I woke up so happy and decided I deserve a break after the hectic few weeks, went out with friends and as soon as I got back into my room I was flooded with emotions of guilt, hurt, shame out of nowhere. And I went back to the one thing I always knew helped me redirect my heart pain,” she wrote.
