TWO YEARS ago, Sthembiso “SK” Khoza disappeared from the screen of The Queen rather suddenly.
It seemed he was fired, but he said he went to work on another show.
BUT THIS TIME IT’S OFFICIAL. DON’T EXPECT TO SEE SHAKA ON THE QUEEN FOR VERY MUCH LONGER!
According to sources, the actor who plays much-loved character Shaka in the popular telenovela The Queen, was axed because of assault charges against him.
A source told Daily Sun: “It’s so sad to see him go as he is one of the characters the audience loves dearly.
“For the past two weeks, the writers have been busy with his exit storyline.
“They were also shocked when they were instructed to write him out.”
In 2019, he was allegedly fired from the show but he later returned.
He said the allegations were untrue and he had left to shoot the Netflix series Kings of Joburg.
At the time, he said: “I am having the last laugh now that I am back on The Queen.

“I have been wondering why people couldn’t figure out why I was fired from The Queen but hired on Kings of Joburg, but people decided to drag my name through the mud.”
At the time, Sthembiso was accused of being difficult to work with.
He responded by saying: “We live in a country where people like to speak before they know all the information and facts and they rely on hearsay.
“It hurts how people were happy to say I am a hard person to work with and I make production difficult.
M-Net channel director for local entertainment channels, Nomsa Philiso, confirmed that the actor has been axed.
“Mzansi Magic confirms that we have been informed by Ferguson Films that SK Khoza will no longer form part of the cast of The Queen,” she said.
Daily Sun reached out to Sthembiso for a comment, but his phone rang unanswered.
The SunTeam also reached out to Sthembiso’s manager Nicole Pettit of Gaenor Artiste Management, who refused to comment on the matter.
