KAIZER Chiefs star Luke's life will be celebrated on Thursday, 11 April.

The Amakhosi defender Luke Fleurs' life will be celebrated at the FNB stadium in Joburg.

Luke lost his life during a botched hijacking on Wednesday, 3 April.

The footballer was shot at a petrol station in Florida, Joburg. He died on his way to the hospital at on evening. The Joburg-based star was 24 when he died.

He had a promising football career but his life was cut short during this incident.

On Wednesday, 10 April his family released a statement regarding his memorial service.

 "A young man from Mitchells Plain, whose dream was to play for Kaizer Chiefs. Family, friends , colleagues, leaders of society, media, and the football fraternity, please join us as we celebrate this beautiful life that's gone too soon," the family said.

Luke signed for Kaizer Chiefs in 2023 October after leaving SuperSport United FC.
