TEAM Ntencane is the winner of Clash of the Choirs season four and the musician Ntencane has dedicated the million to the choir members.
The Mzansi Magic show's season four finale became a battle between KZN and the Eastern Cape as Ntencane led KZN choir while musician Vusi Nova led the Eastern Cape choir.
On Sunday, 17 December, Team Ntencane from KZN was announced as the winner and walked away with R1 million and R250 000 on top, which they donated to the Durban-based Ntenga Foundation.
Ntencane (33), whose real name is Senzo Zondo from Greytown, KZN Midlands, told Daily Sun he has a big plan for his choir, but he doesn't want to use the million they won for that.
“The choir members dedicated their lives in this competition and some of them left their work, so I want them to enjoy this money and have a good Christmas.
“There's no way of going back now, and I don’t want this choir to disappear. I just want them to continue showcasing their talent in the music industry,” he said.

The Wawuthembeni hitmaker said from now on he will knock on many different doors to help take his choir to the next level.
“I want them to be a recording choir because they have an amazing singing talent. We can't afford to let them split or disappear.
“After I auditioned them, I sat them down and heard different painful stories about their personal lives, and I don’t want them to go back to those lives after this win,” he said.
Ntencane said only after his choir becomes successful will he let them share their painful stories to inspire others.
He siad during the auditions for Clash of the Choirs South Africa he had a difficult time choosing members to be part of his team when the auditions were held at Durban Playhouse earlier this year.
“People were coming all over the KZN, but I’m happy that I managed to select this choir that won. I became the first maskandi musician to lead a choir in the competition and I won,” he said.
