THE gruesome killings of well-known figures in Tshwane have left many people shocked.

As a result, police are on the hunt for thugs who have been brutally killing artists in Gauteng.

Provincial commissioner Lieutenant-General Elias Mawela said they are still looking for the thugs behind the killings of DJ Sumbody, Vusi Ma R5, Zoro, and Sonti Lee.

"We are calling upon those who have information to share with the detectives so that we can resolve the matters," he said.

"My message to the citizens of this province is that let them work, cooperate and share information with police," he said.

Mawela said these thugs are operating knowing that there's nobody who is going to report them to the police.

He said each corner of the street has a member of the community who cops rely on to arrest people who commit serious crimes.

DJ Sumbody, whose real name was Oupa John Sefoka and was fondly known as Mayor wa Pitori, was killed in a hail of bullets in Joburg on 20 November.
