Soweto Theatre, together with Sound Proprietors, will host Africa Day Groove on Saturday, 28 May.

Tshiamo Mosenyi, founder of Sound Proprietors, said: “We, as the Sound Proprietors, are delighted to be bringing back the Africa Day Groove in partnership with Soweto Theatre.

“Albeit it being the new normal, we are forging ahead with the mandate that we have been given by our elders to remember them through the arts, literature and music.

“We are enthusiastic about this year’s line-up.

“We have also purposefully set out to emphasise the worth and brilliance of the feminine energy through this event.” It’s evident through this year’s line-up that we want to highlight the transcendence of women and their ability to shine as they always do

The event will start at 12am and end at 10pm.

Tickets, ranging from R200 to R250, are available on Soweto Theatre’s website or call 0861 670 670.
