PROMINENT fashion designer, Thusa Sindi, has been fingered in the infamous lotto saga investigations.
He joins a long list of celebrities investigated by the Special Investigating Unit and the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) for stealing funds intended for programmes to help needy communities.
In the new revelations by the SIU, Tsotsi star Terry Pheto was found to be the one who benefited the most and that involves a chicken farm in the Vaal and several of her businesses and being in cahoots with her sister.
In the presentation, the SIU revealed that new investigation findings which ousted award-winning actress Terry, who is alleged to have once again unlawfully benefited from NLC grants funding.

According to SIU spokesman Kaizer Kganyago, the NLC approved a grant of R5 million to Zibisibix a non-profit company for a chicken farm in December 2018.
After the R5 million was received, it was withdrawn from the account and various payments were made.
He said Sindi received R140 000 as the director of Black Planet Trading, Petho received R253 000, as the director of Tsoseletso she also received a payment of R124 000 for her other company Pheto Safe and Cleaning, R2 8 million was also paid to her as the director of Sunguti Projects.
The investigation further revealed that Terry received a payment of R182 000 into her personal bank account, while her sister, Dimakatso Pheto, received R315 500.
Investigations revealed that the farm was bought for R850 000. The SIU established that the former NLC chairman, Alfred Nevhutanda, had signed the offer to buy the farm in the Vaal region.
Furthermore, evidence gathered by the SIU revealed that the farm was purchased Dimakatso Pheto's favour.
"The case has been referred for civil litigation to recover the money and criminal proceedings are in the pipeline," Kganyago said.
In 2022, Terry was also linked to another R344 million lotto scandal that led to her luxurious home being auctioned off.
