WELL-KNOWN Sotho singer Moeketsi Ngesemane has obtained a degree with 12 distinctions.
The 24-year-old graduated at the University of the Free State, QwaQwa campus on 15 April.
Moeketsi, who was rocking his traditional Sotho attire, caused a frenzy in front of lecturers and spectators when he performed his cultural dance after he walked up on stage to collect his graduation certificate.
The 2021 Indoni community builder winner obtained a Bachelor of Education degree with the highest academic pass.

His videos went viral on social media, with most people congratulating him.
He also later received a temporary teaching job in Fouriesburg.
Moeketsi was born and bred in Ha-Nchabeng, QwaQwa and was raised by a single mum.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Moeketsi said: "I am the first person in the family to obtain a university qualification. I grew up in a deprived family. We have started a Sesotho cultural music team with my brother, primarily to assist our mother.
"We used to sing for people in town, and they voluntarily gave us money. My dream has come true. I'm now a qualified somebody. My intention is to change the situation of my family. Regardless of being academically qualified, I wouldn't leave Sesotho music," he said.
