MULTI-AWARD winning pop musician and songwriter Mukengerwa "Tresor" Riziki has signed a global co-publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing.

Sony Music Publishing and Jacquel Music Publishing will now publish his music globally.

Tresor, who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo but is based in South Africa, is joining the music publishing company that has presented the world's best songwriters such as the late Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye, Rihanna, and Jay-Z.

The 36-year-old musician who has scooped many top awards, including Sama awards, said it is a milestone for his music career.

"It's an honour to have my talent recognised on a global scale and to be positioned among the best songwriters and composers in the world.

"Thank you to the Sony Music Publishing USA team for welcoming me and aligning with my vision. I look forward to a fruitful journey together, making music that will be enjoyed for generations," he said.

"His unique style blends elements of pop, afro-fusion and hip-hop and creates a fresh and exciting sound that appeals to a global audience.
