THE podcast, Podcast Affirmation, founded by seasoned journalist Sizwe Blose, stands out as a game-changer.
The podcast was started two years ago and offers an engaging blend of exclusive interviews covering politics, entertainment, and business, setting itself apart as a reliable source for staying updated with current affairs on its Facebook page.
They have hosted notable personalities such as Vuma FM presenter Jacinta Ngobese, DJ Kotini, and Build One SA (Bosa) leader Mmusi Maimane, among others.
The podcast initially focused on a ratio of 60% politics and 40% entertainment and business, offering a well-rounded content mix to its audience.
Blose, who has worked as a journalist for print media for more than 20 years, told Daily Sun that the idea of starting the podcast came after he realised that many people complained that they were being misquoted on print media.

“I noticed that many people especially politicians, normally complain saying they were misquoted after the article has been published.
“Then I realised that the podcast will be an answer where people will be invited and asked questions on the platform when they will not deny anything after,” he said.
Blose said since the podcast started, they have received an overwhelming response from their viewers.
“Our podcast is available on both YouTube and Facebook. On Facebook, we have 2,5 million followers.
“Our big job now is to get this number to our YouTube channel because our numbers on YouTube are still low. On the podcast I partnered with Nokuthula Khasibe,” he said.
Blose said they have a show called The Sit Down where they invite politicians, celebs, and businesspeople.
“We pre-record two shows on Fridays and air them on our YouTube channel and Facebook page on Wednesdays and Fridays.
“We've recently introduced a new show for maskandi musicians where we zoom in on their careers, and it's presented by Sihle Mkhize who is also a journalist,” he said.
