AWARD-WINNING musician Makhadzi shut down the annual Phalaphala Royal Heritage Festival when she descended from the sky to the crowd’s heads and onto the stage. 

The long-awaited festival returned over the weekend on Saturday, 16 September, at the Nandoni Dam in Thohoyandou, Limpopo after a three-year break due to Covid-19. 

The event saw performances from Big Zulu, MacG, SolPhenduka, Young Stunna, Lady Amar and Dr Colbert Mukwevho.
