AWARD-WINNING musician Kingdmusic is creating a name for himself abroad.
He’s been working on songs with American musicians Deitrick Haddon and Terrain, and is making sure the Kingdmusic brand is known everywhere in the world.
The musician, whose real name is Denga Takalani (32) from Venda in Limpopo, spoke to Daily Sun about taking his career further.

“I’ve been working with Terrain. She's a multi-award-winning artist from the US. We worked on a remix for my song, Worry About Nothing. It will drop maybe in September. When Deitrick reached out and asked me to work with him, it felt like a full-circle moment.
“When I started doing urban gospel music, I searched online to see artists who were doing the same music and he played a massive role in my life and he didn’t even know. But he inspired me. So I featured on his song and I also asked him to feature on my song,” he said.
Kingdmusic revealed that he’ll release a new song, titled Provider, on Friday, 21 July.
“It’s a lead single in my new album that I’m working on. I’ve been working on a lot of new music. The song is about thanking God for being a provider and I’ve personally seen the hand of God in my life this year. Things aren’t always good when it comes to finances as an independent artist. You want to reach a lot of heights, but you have to use your own money and I see Him providing in my life and marriage,” he said.
Kingdmusic just announced his South African tour called Perfect Love Nights, which starts on 5 August at SABC Radio Park.
“This is to celebrate how my album, Perfect Love, has been doing globally. It’s about to hit seven million streams on Spotify, and it’s doing well on other platforms as well. It’s doing good and it’s growing globally. We just want to celebrate with the people who helped us reach this huge milestone. We’ll be playing songs from the album, as well as worship songs and some new music," he said.
