Sibonsile Mahlangu is a jack of all trades.

When she is not organising beauty pageants, she is mentoring and coaching young people who want to become models.

The 26-year-old, born and raised in Thubelihle section in Kriel, a small kasi in Mpumalanga, is also a make-up artist.

She describes herself as a young businesswoman focusing in the beauty and events business field, and also a philanthropist who is passionate about serving and making a difference in all spaces she taps into.

She said she is also the founder and director of a company called Ibhudango Lam.

“In English my company is translated as ‘My Dream’.

“It’s about empowering, bringing growth and change in all spaces that I tap into,” she said.

Sibonsile said she does this through the women empowerment events she hosts such a beauty pageant she founded in 2019, Miss Kriel Teen, where she coaches and mentors teenage girls then later gives them a platform to showcase what they have learnt throughout the mentorship and coaching journey.

She said she is also a model.

“I want to become the mentor I wanted when I was teenager,” she said.

She said as a make-up artist she also teaches make-up to those who want to enhance their skills and start their own businesses.

Sibonsile said she started to do all this in 2016 when she was trying to figure out what she can do, through the gifts God gave her. She would model part-time, doing events and working as a make-up artist for a company.

“After acquiring all the necessary skills I went to register my company in 2019, because I wanted to be my own boss,” she said

She said when starting, it was never about money but more about investing in herself and helping other young people.

Sibonsile said it was not easy starting on her own because she struggled with getting support.

But through all the struggles, Sibonsile managed to have her own beauty studio.

She said this year February she also launched her cosmetics brand Ubuhle Bebhudango Cosmetics.

Sibonsile said she had big plans for her future and hopes to grow her beauty business.
