A SEVENTH suspect in the Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and his friend Tebello "Tibs" Motsoane has been arrested.
The 30-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday morning, 28 February, after the police announced they had bust six suspects on Tuesday, 27 February.
Five of the seven suspects will appear in the Durban Magistrates Court on Thursday, 29 February, while the two suspects who were arrested in Eswatini are still in the protocol process to be brought to South Africa.
KZN police spokesman Colonel Robert Netshiunda said cops in KZN had arrested the outstanding suspect in the murder of AKA and Tibz.
“The 30-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday, 28 February. The arrest brings the total number of suspects arrested for the murder to seven.
“Five suspects will appear in the Durban Magistrates Court on Thursday, 29 February 2024,” he said.

AKA and Tibz were gunned down at The Wish on Florida restaurant in Durban on 10 February 2023.
The first suspect was arrested in April 2023. On 24 October 2023, a person suspected of being a spotter was arrested for multiple murder cases that took place in the Berea area in Durban.
On 14 December 2023, a suspect suspected of being the shooter was arrested for multiple murder cases that happened in Amanzimtoti and Berea in Durban.
On 24 February 2024, two suspects - one suspected of being the shooter and another suspected of being a spotter - were arrested for multiple murder cases that happened in Amanzimtoti and Berea in Durban.
On 27 February 2024, a person suspected to be the co-ordinator of the hit was arrested for double murder cases that happened in Berea, Durban.
