The late Mandoza will be honoured at the 29th Samas.

THE late kwaito singer, Mandoza, is one of four musicians who are set to receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 2023 South African Music Awards (Samas).

The Nkalakatha hitmaker, who died in 2016 at the age of 38, will be honoured with the award posthumously. His widow, Mpho Tshabalala, spoke to Daily Sun about her husband getting the award.

“I’m full of mixed emotions because he’s being celebrated. I just wish he was here, but we can’t question God’s will. I feel joy in my heart, especially recently after the biopic. He's being celebrated so much. He’s been gone for seven years and people are still talking about to him,” said Mpho.
