SOURCES at the SABC claim that radio presenter Thuso Motaung and his wife, Mamontha Motaung, who is the business manager for Lesedi FM and Motsweding FM have allegedly been shown the door by the public broadcaster.
The couple has been trending on social media because of the claims, but the broadcaster denied these claims and is standing on their statement that they have neither been dismissed nor suspended.
Sources revealed to Daily Sun that the popular presenter who hosts Jwale Ke Nako on weekdays at 12.30 pm and Makgulong a Matala on Sunday mornings was dismissed with immediate effect on Wednesday, 21 February.

“He walked away after being fired and he isn’t contesting. His show has temporarily been held by Skuzabell since Wednesday,” a source said.
Another source at the station said Mamontha is the one in the most trouble with the station.
A third source said: "She refused to move to the North West and that's why she was served with the letter seven counts,"
Mmoni Seapolelo, SABC’s acting group executive: corporate affairs & marketing denied that the couple was fired.
“Mr Thuso Motaung has been temporarily unscheduled for operational reasons and will be back on his programme after two weeks. Mrs Mamontha Motaung is also not dismissed nor is she suspended as it has been falsely reported.
“The SABC would like to reiterate that while the corporation is accountable to the public on various corporate issues, it's imperative to note that it will not discuss any matters pertaining to the employer-employee relationship in the media and public space,” she said.
The presenter has been with Lesedi FM since 1983.
Both Thuso and Mamontha haven’t been answering their phones.
Ntate Thuso just posted one of his motivational videos on Facebook on Thursday, 22 February and didn’t address anything.
