FAKE pastors are causing havoc in Mzansi.
These were the words of Lesedi FM presenter, Thuso Motaung.
Addressing mourners at the funeral service of a slain teacher recently, Motaung blamed fake pastors for the brutal killings in South Africa.
He slammed fake pastors for misleading their congregants with the misinterpretation of the word of God and instructing them to pray naked with the intention to touch women inappropriately.
Motaung said: “Fake pastors are the chief directors of inhumane behaviour that is viewed predominantly in our country. Pastors are using the word of God wrongfully for their benefit.
“Our people are in the dark hence it’s easy for evil spirits to penetrate to the level where children are fearless to kill their parents. They have been unfortunately misled by the people who are supposed to teach them the correct way of life,” he said.
A recent incident involving a pastor happened in North West, where church members were instructed to get naked during the church service in the presence of kids.
“We need to be united as residents to fight evil spirits that seem to be taking control of the country,” he said.
He called for real pastors to join hands and preach the meaningful word of God to their congregants to fight evil spirits and lay a proper foundation.
Free State chairman of Church Fraternity, Reverend Reuben Sokana, admitted to the existence of fake pastors. He alluded that their existence has also contributed to the use of drugs and killings.
“We cannot leave behind fake traditional healers who kill people for muthi,” said Sokana.
