The 50 contestants came from as far away as Spain, Romania, Ivory Coast, the Philippines, Costa Rica, China, Egypt, Germany, eSwatini, Vietnam and Venezuela.
Miss Durban University of Technology 2018 and Miss International South Africa 2019 Zabelo Hlabisa will be representing South Africa.

Real Housewives of Joburg star Lejoy said she would be looking for specific qualities in the winner.
“I am looking for confidence, self-love and presence.
‘If you have these three, you can definitely take the crown,” she said.
Lejoy, who is proudly from Limpopo, said she was happy to see the pageant held in her home province.
This is a proud moment for Limpopo. We usually expect such events to take place in Joburg or Cape Town. Limpopo is one of the most loving provinces,” she said.
“The contestants will definitely learn humility and how rich the province is.
“I mean, they are in Venda and that is the garden of Eden.”
