THE Real Housewives of Joburg is making a comeback after a three-year break.    

The new season starts on 19 May on 1Magic (DStv channel 103) with some new cast members.   

Fan favourites Lebo "Jojo" Mokoena (previously Gunguluza) and Lethabo "LeJoy" Mathatho are also back.  

They will be joined by Keabetswe Marema, Thobekile Mdlalose, Nicole Watson and Mamus Koka.    

Speaking about the return of the show Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net, said they're happy to bring the show back.   

“The Real Housewives franchise has become is much-loved show across the continent, and viewers have been clamouring for the return of the Joburg edition.   

"It was our first South African foray into the international franchise, and we are so proud to bring back the drama and glamour for which the show is known," she said.

The franchise was the first to come out of Africa, and since then, there have been more franchises such as Real Housewives of Durban, Cape Town, Nairobi, Abuja, Lagos and Gqeberha.   

Meet the cast of the new season:  

Lebo "Jojo" Mokoena    

Last time around, all of her ventures were tied to her ex-husband, but now she is setting out on her own.  

Lethabo "LeJoy" Mathatho    

Lethabo wants to use her platform to support and uplift the boychild – all while building her empire. With a thriving career and achieved success over the years, is Lethabo ready for the next big step in her life?   

Keabetswe Marema    

Born and raised in Soweto, the mother of three is married to a multi-millionaire who counts stacks of cash in broad daylight. This season viewers will get to know her interesting and complicated family. 

She is on a self-discovery and healing while finding her passions and financial freedom from her ten-year marriage.   

Thobekile Mdlalose    

A self-made millionaire and traditional healer, Thobekile is a former TV producer and director who knows how to get the action rolling. The advocate for healthy lifestyles is launching a charity organisation she hopes will alleviate period poverty and teach girls to be financially independent.    

Nicole Watson    

Dynamic serial entrepreneur and newly divorced Nicole Watson has the right mix for a reality television personality. She has taken on the challenge of creating successful businesses while dealing with challenges in her personal life.    

Mamus Koka   

Mamus’ life is very colourful, with twists and turns on the way to becoming a force to reckon with. She works as an HR administrator for an NGO organisation and shares content on her YouTube channel. 

She also hosts a podcast with her husband called, Couple of Things.
