Stephens Shongwe said people should always praise the Lord.

STEPHENS Shongwe wants people to remember God.

The rapper, who is better known as Smezi, said he realised that many people are no longer doing good things on God's land.

He told SunBuzz that it's high time he teaches people the importance of praising the Lord at all times.

"I am a singer and songwriter who wants to uplift others. I started singing in 2010 professionally with gospel artists such as Sinky Mathe, Mzayoni, and Israel Musehla as a backing vocalist,” he said.

The singer said he has his own indie recording label known as Stebie Records.

"I have recently released two songs called Igolide and Intelezi which were received well by people, and they love them. These songs are what I use to bring people together and closer to God as Gold is loved by everyone, and so is God," Smezi said.

The singer said the song is already making airwaves on local radio stations.

"It has played on Kaya FM, Tembisa Radio station, and other Radio stations in South Africa. I sing African trap or hip-hop music," he said.

In September 2022, the singer released a song titled Umzangedwa.

"This song can be found on all digital music platforms. On the 7th of October 2022, I released another song titled Emaweni,”

The musician said he featured his up-and-coming artist Bonginkosi Tshabalala, better known as Bonginkosi Tshabalala.

He said the song is also getting recognised on digital platforms by his fans.

"I am happy that people are now receiving my music left and right. It shows that I am doing a good job and they love my work," he said
