RAPPER speaks about his battle with depression, suicide and being bullied.
Azzy said after he lost his dad in 2017, he had nowhere to go, and his life started being hard.
The musician, whose real name is Abell Somatube, said he went to stay with his cousins in Cape Town, where he started recording his music.
Azzy from Engcobo in the Eastern Cape said he used the studio to escape from his reality.
The 20-year-old said he was bullied by his peers to the extent that he lost his confidence, which led to him being depressed in 2020.
The musician said his life had never been easy and wished he was protected like other kids.
The musician from a small village called Ngxingweni said he wanted to show people it's possible to make it despite the challenges.
"It was 2017 after I lost my dad and lost it all. This made me lose focus a lot.
"After I quit school as I couldn't cope. They were calling me names as my father was from Zimbabwe," he said.
Azzy said his mum Nomandimpiwe was in Cape Town.

"I had to stay with my uncle's wife in town. I developed an interest in making music and used it to escape my reality," he said.
He said he mixed with friends who didn't like him in 2020.
"I was stabbed during a night out by guys fighting with my friend. They stabbed me in the head and behind," he said.
The rapper said he almost died.
"I'm doing music to cope. My grandmother, aunt, and girlfriend supported me," he said.
He said they are the ones who made him realise that there are people who still love him, and that's the reason he never took his life.
"I was bullied by friends and the community. I thank them now as they made me stronger," he said.
Azzy released a single titled Higley Flenou in June this year.
