STHOKOZO Skosana is determined to put ragga-hop music on the map.
The 31-year-old from Warden in the Free State told Daily Sun he has added his own flavour to the genre, which is a fusion of ragga and hip-hop.
He said he grew up listening to kwaito artists such as Zola and Mzekezeke, as well as hip-hop artists like the late ProKid.
"I'm the visible example of the people from the past, present and future. I'm a versatile artist who does many things," he said.
"Music is a good therapy, and I like learning new things every time."
Sthokozo said he had gone through many hardships to be where he is today.
He said the most painful experience in his life was when he was chased away from home because he was a Rastafarian.

Sthokozo said if it wasn't for music, he'd probably be dead because music is his therapy.
He said he's busy recording an EP which will take people back to the good old days, adding that he's also shooting a music for it.
So far, he has four mixtapes: Youth and Me released in 2012, Indaba Zabantu in 2014, Forward Phambili in 2017 and It Is What It Is in 2020.
Sthokoza, who has toured Eswatini and Lesotho, said he would be touring Jamaica at the end of December 2023.
He said the trip was about a recording deal, which he'd talk about soon.
"The most enjoyable thing about being a musician is that you can touch lives and connect to their souls," he said.
