UMHLOBO Wenene's changes came a bit earlier this year.

The Xhosa radio station has already announced new line-up changes for 2024.

Some Trufm presenters are crossing over to their sister station, while new faces are also joining.

Nomonde Vakalisa will take over the early morning revival show called Beka Ithemba Lakho Kuye, Mondays to Thursdays from 3am to 5am.

MamK will take on two religious shows, Ngenani Emasangweni Ngendumiso, which airs on Thursdays from 9am to 12pm.

She also hosts Imvuselelo, joined by Reverend Keketso Bloem and produced by seasoned religious producer Leka Gaji, airing on Sunday evenings from 7pm to 10pm.

Reverend Akhona Gxamza has now moved from being a contributor to being a presenter.

He will host Isandulela seNkonzo on Sundays from 8am to 9am.

Trufm presenter Reggie Solano returns to Umhlobo as a producer for the popular breakfast show, i-Breakfast Eyondlayo Ekseni, on weekdays from 6am to 9am.

He will also be a presenter for Imbhadla 628 on Saturdays from 6pm to 8pm.

Another Trufm presenter, Phethu Soga, joins as co-host of i-Drive Enochatha, airing weekdays from 3pm to 6pm, while Babe-Zee will now assume the role of on-air content producer.

Voice-over artist Mzwandile Ntshona expands his role from being the voice of Imiphanga to being the presenter of Umculo Wekwayara, which airs on Sundays from 10pm to midnight.

Couple Mbulelo and Nombulelo Bikwani of Isiseko Family Institute, known for their 13 years of restoring families, join the Umhlobo Wenene FM family with their show Isiseko Somtshato, airing on Sundays from 5am to 6am.

Business manager of the Eastern Cape combo, Loyiso Bala, emphasised the need to ensure stability to the station.

"These line-up changes are a testament to our dedication of maintaining an impactful voice in the isiXhosa community while remaining relevant and engaging. We are committed to providing our listeners with compelling content that resonates with their lives, and these updates reflect that commitment," Loyiso said.
