GAGASI FM presenter Penny Ntuli dumped Lindo "INtaba YaseDubai" Msomi at the last hour.

She was booked at INtaba YaseDubai’s birthday celebration and did not arrive.

Instead, she apologised and offered to pay the money back.

She took to Facebook and wrote: "I’ll no longer be coming to JHB today. I’m not fine."

In another message which she deleted, she wrote: “Mangamahle, today is the day you’ve been waiting for. Nomndayi, I’d like to apologise that physically I will not be able to attend. Everything was ready but I am not feeling fine. Nyawose, it’ll not be fair to come and entertain the crowd whereas I’m dying inside. I need to be at the Mabheleni homestead. Please send me your banking details so I can refund you.”

Penny’s manager, Thabiso Msomi, said he couldn't disclose any information regarding Penny and declined to comment.

The celebration was on Sunday, 30 July.

Intaba YaseDubai said he was hurt by Penny’s absence.

“I booked her for my birthday because I liked her. I paid her the full amount, which I cannot disclose and waited for her. But on Sunday, she was no longer taking my calls. I spent the whole day trying to reach out to her, but she wasn’t answering.

"A few hours before the event, she told me via Facebook that she was no longer coming. I was deeply hurt but couldn’t do anything,” he said.

Intaba YaseDubai said he didn’t respond to her Facebook post.

"I simply responded with my banking details, and she refunded me. What broke my heart was that many people came to my birthday bash just to see her,” said Intaba yaseDubai.

He said that he holds no grudge against her.

“I understand her position, and I’ll still work with her, but more importantly, I respect her honesty,” he said.

Her fans took turns wishing her a speedy recovery.

Sbonile Mthabela said: "Go through what you need to go through. It’s surely not easy, but don't dwell too long on it because you will give the problem too much power. Fight through."

Phumzile Msibi comforted her, and said: "Yooh Penny, it broke my heart to see you crying like that. You reminded me of my own pain. But you'll be fine. Give yourself time to deal with it and heal. It's okay to break down it's okay to cry sisi."
