QUINTON Shaun Mlaza from Kimberley, Northern Cape, is ready to take over the world.

The 30-year-old actor, presenter and MC holds a Business Administration Diploma and a Film and Motion Picture qualification.

Speaking to Daily Sun, he said: “While growing up, I used to imitate a group called Boom Shaka’s dance moves.

“After completing my matric at Vuyolwethu High School in Kimberley, I moved to Joburg to follow my dreams.

“I joined an agency, which sent me to auditions. I got small acting roles in productions like Generations, Isidingo and Muvhango to name just a few,” he said.

He is currently an MC for a company called Funworld Inflatables.

He is also the MC of the Colour Run Festival, which tours the whole country. to different towns.

He is currently planning the Northern Cape Arts Music and Jazz Festival Expo.

Quinton is also an educational facilitator for a technical school. He creates study tips, plans and structures to help students. in their grammar, wording and pronunciation

Giving advice to aspiring MCs, he said: For one to be an MC, you need to be aware of what’s happening around you. Get MC tips and a mentor that you will shadow.I would advise someone to Always be familiar with the trends within the entertainment industry, attend small events and ask to be the MC so that you can improve your confidence and communication skills.

“Go to school and read more as it will broaden your skills and knowledge.

“Also get a mentor that you can shadow. I had a mentor and advisor, Mama Roxy Marosa.”

Quinton has big plans for the South African entertainment industry.

I want to see change in our industry.I want to create the Safe Space Art School and give those that want to be future presenters, singers and performers the opportunity to get in for free,” he said.

“I also want to set up a I want to do more for Boys and Instill a Boy Child Campaign that will be a foundation to encourage boys to respect girls and protect them.”

Quinton said he wants to travel the world and work alongside Oprah Winfrey, Steve Harvey and other international stars. and other international stars

“There is a possibility that I will be based in the United States of America if things go well,” said Quinton.

“I will be doing MCing for pubs, their concerts and also focus on my educational facilitating stuff like teaching in English and also just travel”, he added.
