TV PRESENTER and comedian Tumi Stopnonsons will appear in court on Wednesday, 3 April.

This comes after he made a brief appearance in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Monday, 4 March.

The comedian, whose real name is Tumi Matila, is facing two counts of assault and one of pointing an object resembling a firearm.

In February 2024, his case was postponed until for consultation with his lawyers and further investigations.

During the court proceedings, Magistrate Louise Etchell said the comedian must be on time and still honour his bail conditions.

She said failure to do so will result in him being arrested and his bail conditions revoked.

The comedian allegedly assaulted his girlfriend Thando Ngemane and her friend Tsholofelo Kgosimotho.

The comedian was arrested at the Honeydew Police Station on Tuesday, 7 August and was released on R2 000 bail.

When the SunTeam approached him for comment after his appearance, the comedian didn't want to comment.
