COMEDIAN Noko Moswete has ventured into theatre.

She's a writer and director of the musical play, Revenge Of The Lord.

On Wednesday, 20 March, theatre and music lovers will watch the musical at the Polokwane Library Gardens in Limpopo at 8pm.

Noko, who's also an actress, said this was her first production and they have 11 members in the cast.

She will also play the role of the pastor.

"The Revenge Of The Lord is a tale of love, betrayal, greed, and fake love, but victory always prevails because darkness will never overcome the light.

"The message behind the play is to show how people close to you can harm the most," said Noko.

She said the play is an eye-opener for people not to trust easily.

Noko said she has been working on the project since 2021.

"I hosted auditions in Tibanefontein Gamatlala in Limpopo to find raw and undiscovered talent in rural areas.

"We've been rehearsing, and they had no experience in theatre play. But they've excelled throughout, and come 20 March, people will be able to seek a five-star performance," said Moswete.

She said this is her first project in the theatre, and her dream is to produce a television production.
