Magcwabe is not new to radio as she has worked for three community radio stations - Vibe FM, Izwi Lomzansi, and North Coast Radio.

She said she is excited to be part of the commercial radio station based in Durban, because it would help develop her brand as a poet and actress.

"Many people will know my name. Presenting that type of feature on the show will develop my mind to always stay updated about what is happening in the country every day.

"I have just learnt that all opportunities are important and need to be taken seriously because every opportunity opens another door.

"I will forever be grateful to the hosts and producers for giving me this opportunity to showcase my talent," she said.

Magcwabe has scooped top awards in poetry, such as Best Poet at the South African Volunteers Awards and Best Poet at the South African Traditional Music Achievements Awards.

She also hosts the annual poetry session show called A Night With Magcwabe, where she gives other poets the stage to showcase their talent.

Magcwabe has appeared on Durban Gen and Bettina Wethu. She was also featured by legendary traditional musician Mbuso Khoza on the song titled Isandlwana.

She also performs her poems on 1KZN TV, based in her home town of Richard Bay.
