Singer Pleasure “Tsa Manyalo” Peta (42) has reached the biggest milestone in her music career.
Her song, Ke Lorile, came second in the 2022 Song of the Year at Limpopo’s leading radio station, Thobela FM.
“I knew there was a potential of winning the Song of the Year, or coming close. The song was big. It was on high rotation on local and national radio stations,” she said.
“On social media platforms, it proved to be a hit. It actually garnered more than one million views on YouTube in just eight months. This was an unprecedented success in my music career.”
Pleasure said that her song is literally played in every corner of Limpopo streets.

“This song encourages us to have dreams and visions and keep pushing, even when the going gets tougher.
“It encourages us to put our faith in God because He will ultimately answer our prayers and everything we have hoped for will finally manifest,” she said.
“This is one of my biggest achievements in music.
“It confirms that when the time is right, the Lord shall make it happen. It shows that many people out there like and appreciate the work that I do and for that, I am eternally grateful.”
Pleasure is from Ga-Mphahlele, Limpopo and she has been in the music industry for 17 years.
“The genre of my music is called manyalo – weddings in English.
“I sing about marriage in general. Even though my songs make reference to a married lifestyle, I also make sure that everyone, regardless of their marital status, can relate to the issues I sing about,” she said.

“My love of music started in Sunday school. I used to attend Revelation Assembly Church. My late grandfather, Nkotsane Charles Maja, was a bishop there. He had a great influence on my music career and as I grew up, I knew I wanted to be a singer,” she said.
In 2005, she released her debut album, titled MaAndrews vol 1 (Sheba Nna). She has received a number of awards, including Best Sepedi/Manyalo Album at the Limpopo Music Awards.
