LIES, fights and betrayal have become the order of the day on Gomora.

Zoliswa Madikizela, played by Zinzi Nsele, has manoeuvred her way back into Bongani’s life and is posing some serious trouble for Zodwa and Bongani’s relationship.

Zinzi told SunBuzz she is back on season three of Gomora.

“Miss Madikizela is back in Gomora. She is Bongani’s bitter ex- wife. She is a woman scorned and she’d do anything, including using her own kids, to destroy Bongani’s relationship with Zodwa.

“She cannot deal with the fact that her Bongani fell in love with a drunkard, Zodwa, whereas she is a teacher,” she said.

She described her storyline as a “complicated love triangle”.

Zoliswa will always be in Bongani’s life because they have kids together. “Unfortunately, Zoliswa has an ulterior motive and Bongani does not seem to see this. The storyline shows how ex-wives or ex girlfriends sabotage good relationships,” she said.

She said playing Zoliswa has been a blessing.

“I relate to Zoliswa in so many ways. We are both from the Eastern Cape, in Bizana, and so we are known as AmaMpondo. This background made things easy for me because we have the same background,” said Zinzi.

She said Zoliswa is generally a nice person and so is she.

“We are strong and intelligent women but we don’t allow anyone to stand in our way. However, we are different in that Zoliswa has been through hell and back and now she is angry and bitter. In real life I’ve never been in her shoes and I wouldn’t wish her pain on anyone.” She said she is here to stay.

“Playing Zoliswa has sharpened my craft. I’m giving it my all and being on Gomora is one of the highlights of my acting career.”
