MZANSI celebrities were dressed to the nines when they attended what was dubbed the first big event of 2023 on Saturday night, 21 January.
Netflix series Kings of Jo’burg was launched in Rosebank, Joburg and celebs such as Connie Chiume, Thembi Seete, Sandile Mahlangu, Tarina Patel, and Thapelo Mokoena walked the red carpet.

The lead actors, Connie Ferguson and Zolisa Xaluva, rode onto the red carpet in motorbikes, and the fans who were watching from the sidelines were wild with excitement over their entrance.
The first episode of the season was also screened during the event and Connie Ferguson, who plays Veronica, made her debut in the episode.
Speaking about the new season, executive producer and director Samad Davis said he feels like they’ve reached Hollywood status.
“I’m proud of everybody who’s part of this. I’ll say that Hollywood is not a destination, but a level of execution. And when we look at this experience tonight, this is Hollywood. Hollywood in Africa,” he said.
