WOMEN are the pillars of this nation! Not many of them are celebrated for their role and achievements in the country but on Saturday, 20 August Moja Love channel, together with few sponsors, celebrated women in style.

This was when they invited all women for an epic show at Altitude Beach in Fourways, north of Joburg.

The event was to honour those who made a huge contribution in the media spaces over the past years, including ordinary citizens. Some women shared their deep stories about their childhood trauma experiences, divorces and their sex life. The even was attended the who is who of Mzansi entertainment industry, including radio personality Dineo Ranaka, Jub Jub, Siyabonga Mdlalose, and Thembi Nyathi.

Dineo was the emcee and prayed for women who went through the most in their lives. “This is for every women who went through hardships in their lives. I pray that you heal and become better people in the future,” she said.

The presenter said she came out of a sour marriage and it wasn’t good at all. “I left and took my time after my marriage. I am now in a good place,” she said.

She also gave an insight into a good marriage to women who are in happy marriages.

“This one is for those who are having a wonderful time with their husbands. If you know how to make your man happy and enjoy being with them, do that without even looking back,” she said.

Dineo said as much as women go through tough times in marriages, if they are able to tolerate their men, they should do that.

Bokani Moyo, head of channel at Moja Love, shared how beautiful it is to lead as a woman.

“We came a long way as women and our channel now is dominated by women. We want to bring hope to young people in Mzansi,” she said.

Siyabonga Moja Love said he was inspired and happy to see all women of colours under one roof. He said this was something close to his heart as he loves celebrating women and their good deeds in the country.

“This is an amazing meet and greet event. I am happy that I am here to celebrate our women together with other media houses,” he said.

“As Moja Love channel, we love celebrating people and also helping them with issues that are affecting them on daily basis. This is the reason we have shows such as Uyajola 9/9, Lekunutu, X-Repo, and Dlozilam,” Siya said.

Jub Jub said he was grateful to work alongside women who are eager to learn every single day. He said he’ll always cherish every chance he gets with them as they always deliver at their workplace.

Dlozilam presenter Thembi also shared that she is who she is because of the greatest women who raised her.

“We must always honour our ancestors and those that we are still living with. They are the best people we could ask God,” she said.
